​​Connie de Veer is a versatile actor, voice actor, singer, director, and choreographer. She has worked at The Illinois Shakespeare Festival for many years, most recently as an actor, playing Mrs. Jennings in Sense and Sensibility. She has also served as a voice/text/dialect coach or movement coach/choreographer on many Festival productions. She is a Professor of Acting, Voice, and Movement at Illinois State University, where she regularly directs and coaches many School of Theatre, Dance, and Film productions.
Connie has played several roles for Heartland Theatre Company, including Amanda in The Glass Menagerie, Polly in Other Desert Cities, and Rose in Sirens. She has performed roles for Theatre Three, Casa Manana, and Amphibian Theatre in the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex; The Light Opera of Manhattan, and The New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players in New York City.
